How do I book?

Send the estimate form or email info@glidemove.com.au. We come back with a move estimate. Once you confirm, you are booked. No deposit. No cancellation fee — please just tell us as early as you can if plans change. Book a month ahead and we take $50 off the final price.

How do I get the $50 discount?

Every booking made a month in front gets $50 off the final price. Lock the date at least 30 days ahead, and we take $50 off whatever the job comes to.

What does $170 an hour include?

Two removalists, 28 m³ / 4.5 tonne truck, protective materials, furniture assembly and disassembly, public liability and goods in transit insurance. Extra crew or a larger truck is quoted separately.

Is there a minimum?

Yes — three hours. After that we bill in 30-minute increments. Travel time between the two properties is included in the quote.

Why is the quote an estimate?

Time depends on how well you are packed, stairs, steep driveways, parking and how much furniture there is. Give us an inventory and access notes and the estimate tightens. We talk you through the number before the day.

How long will my move take?

Guide only, for a well-packed moderately furnished home: studio ~3 hours; 1–2 bed 3–5 hours; 3–4 bed 6–8 hours; 5+ bed 8–12 hours. Stairs, long carries and unpacking stretch that.

How should I pack?

We can pack for you. The whole house, a single room, or a hand to finish what is left. Ask for packing on the estimate.

If you are packing yourself, use strong boxes that stack. Put heavy items in small boxes and light items in large ones. Label two sides and the top with the room. Keep a bag aside for chargers, medication and anything the children need on the day.

What should I do the night before?

Leave a park for a 28 m³ truck as close to the door as you can, and tell us about tight streets, steep drives or long carries. Book the elevator if you have one. Empty and dry the fridge. We do not move food or open liquids. Take the bed apart the night before if you can — it saves time on the day. We still bring the tools if you need a hand. Disconnect the gas bottle from the BBQ; we are not allowed to put LPG bottles on the truck.

Can you move BBQ gas bottles?

No. We are not allowed to move LPG gas bottles from BBQs or heaters. Disconnect the bottle before we arrive and take it in your own car, return it, or leave it. The BBQ itself is fine.

What about pianos and other heavy items?

Pianos, marble, stone tables, gym gear, statues and fish tanks need extra hands. Tell us on the form so we quote properly. We wrap furniture as standard. Packing the boxes is optional — tick it on the estimate if you want us to do that too.

What can I pay with?

Cash, bank transfer or card.
